Donating Materials

Donating Materials to the CCU Library

The CCU library welcomes donations of books and other materials.

As you consider donating materials to the CCU library, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. The donor relinquishes all rights of ownership of all materials donated to the CCU Library.
  2. We ask that the donor give the materials to the library without placing any restrictions as to their use and circulation.
  3. The library does have suggestions for recognizing special gift collections. If you wish to donate materials in honor or memory of someone, please contact the library director for ideas.
  4. The library will add to its collection donated materials that are useful to the educational programs of CCU. Any materials not added to the library’s collection will be sold to the public, given to missionaries, or given to other libraries. Note: money from book sales is used by the library to purchase new books and other materials.
  5. As the recipient, the library cannot legally appraise gift collections; thus, a valuation of the donation cannot be given. We will happily send a letter of acknowledgement to you and, if you so indicate, we will include a list of materials that the library received from you. If an appraisal is needed, the donor should work with an appraiser prior to donating the materials.
  6. If you have any questions, please call Scott Lloyd (244-8435), or Jim Lloyd (244-8138). Or e-mail us at
